Many thanks to all the intrepid gamers who braved the wind, rain and traffic hold-ups to join us in Mansfield Woodhouse for a thoroughly enjoy able day of table top gaming. The Warmaster Ancients, H&H Medieval and Battle of Hastings all proved to be very intense, close games. The Hastings game resulted in the deaths of both Harold and William. This was the 5th time that this absorbing game has been staged, and the first time that the Saxons avoided defeat and succeeded in fighting the Norman invaders to a standstill, to claim a well earned and hard fought draw.
