The range of products will undoubtedly expand, so would one of our kallistra admins care to let us know what we can expect in the future? Thanks.

Hi folks!

What's next is a question that through experience requires a careful answer - I'm good at making a rod for my own back!
New projects/additions currently in development include:

Working with the sculptor on the next releases for the AWI range - galloper guns, Hessians etc.
WW1 bunkers - sculpted but not yet moulded.
Review and refinement of the H&H 100 Years War range - the the new 'singles' infantry packs are already available.
Currently making casting moulds for the War of The Roses 'singles' for release in the not to distant future.
In the process of planning some new thermoformed terrain features for the hexon terrain system at the same time as refining some of the existing moulds.
We are working with groups of gamers in developing more hex based rule systems. The Napoleonic set written by Dave and Tony is mostly complete and big Dave is now working on a colonial set inspired by the Zulu campaign.

Apologies for missing your response, Paul. It is the new terrain features that would interest me that most. Are you looking at more that sit on top of hexons, or at producing new tiles themselves? I would certainly like to see some raised road [embanked sections that could carry road or rail would be great]. Thanks.

Hi Paul,

How are the new terrain pieces coming along - in particular I am very interested in seeing the ww1 bunkers? What are the current time scales for these please?

Are the new Napoleonic rules being tested going to use existing minis from the historical range or new sculpts?

Hope to hear from you again soon.

Best wishes,

Graham

Hi Paul, you may feel you have said too much already :-) but ...... re the Napoleonic rules, can you give a hint about basing sizes?

Looking forward to all the stuff you mentioned.

Hi folks,
A quick up-date to answer some of your questions.

The Napoleonic written by Dave and Tony are complete and Dave is currently working on the written text to accompany the various tables. All the play testing has been done using 15mm and 6mm miniatures from various manufacturers - we have no plans to produce a Napoleonic range ourselves as yet!
All the infantry are based on 40x20mm bases and the cavalry 40x25, athough because it is a hex based system the base sizes are not that important as long as you accommodate a maximum 4 stands in a hex.

For the Zulu rules 40x20 are again used for the British infantry and 40x30 for the zulu stands, again these fit up to 4 in a hex.

The WWI bunker masters are still waiting to be moulded. I am now aiming to complete the moulds in January when we receive more moulding and casting materials. I must post some photos of some of prototypes which I have mounted on hexes.

I am in the process sculpting and experimenting with additional 'sit on top' terrain features and different colour flock effects - these with evolve into finished products when I've explored various ideas and identified the most appropriate additions to the Hexon range.

It's all good creative stuff over the festive period - best wishes to you all for Xmas and the New Year.

Hi Paul,

Hope you enjoyed your Christmas celebrations. Please can you post some photos of your prototypes of the bunkers soon - can't wait to see the new additions! Look forward to it very much.

I generally find "sit on top" terrain features are the best way forward - it is often tricky add in terrain components at the "tile level" requiring lots of extra singles - I think terrain features like marsh/swamp would probably be best on the flat templates like the dark green forest underlays.

Hope to hear from you again soon with your progress and best wishes,

Graham
