Hexon boards enhanced

My present project is to create a forest using at least 30 three-tone hexon boards. I decided to use the dark green patches to place the trees in, and thus create random areas. of course, the final product will greatly depend how the boards are set out together. I didn't buy enough European style tr...

Re: Sand bags

I will be trying 20mm scale sandbags using air drying clay. I intend to roll strips out and flatten them, and then pinch cut at set distances, which would hopefully flatten the ends to make it look bags like. The plan is to stack exactly like a sandbag wall. Time consuming but I hope it will be effe...

Re: First battle of new Hexon table

I have some templates already [one of each] and they will prove useful for my 'downwards' work. if I get time, I'll post a picture of my jungle hex as an example of the interchangeable boards I'm seeking to have in numbers. I have a few blank hexons with which to play. Once I know what and how, I'll...

Re: What's next?

Apologies for missing your response, Paul. It is the new terrain features that would interest me that most. Are you looking at more that sit on top of hexons, or at producing new tiles themselves? I would certainly like to see some raised road [embanked sections that could carry road or rail would b...

Re: First battle of new Hexon table

Thanks for that Norm. I only hope I would be that techie :-) I'm in the process of adapting our previous rules to accomodate the hexes. One our issues is artillery and mortar fire zones, and we are struggling a little, as our previous gaming area was seperated into 200mm squares, which made fire zon...
