Dark age picts anyone?
I have just finished a number of Dux Bellorum elements for my pictish army. Very large amount of converting but although the figures are very much modified, the basic animation of the kallistra figures is exceptional. Thanks guys. The basic figures are a mix of 6 or 7 different packs from various ra...

Onward into Pictland
I guess I finally gave up trying to convince both Kallistra and the other manufacturers to make some enemies for my Late Romans and decided to take matters into my own hands. I have started on the Pictish army for my period. I've sourced the bulk of the figures from the various kallistra ranges but ...

"Wagons roll"
Hi Folks Just finished the first of the wagons I purchased. Lovely models needing only a little work. Main change was to hack off the late medieval heads and add some dark age ones. (head sprue Paul. You know you want to!). I'm so pleased with the end result I thought I would share. There are a coup...

Re: Hammerhead show report 2014
Just watched the video. I would like to compliment you on a well made show report. So much better than a few untitled photos and a personal impression that we normally see in the mags. Three striking points that fill me with optimism. 1/ Huge number of wargames. So many shows are just trade shows no...

Re: A few bits and pieces.
Very, very nice conversion work. The painting not bad either! ;) The shields are really impressive, a mixture of painting and transfers at a guess? Yes indeed after spending a small fortune sampling various 15mm sheets from Little Big men studios I found a sheet for Essex vikings that although a bi...

Re: early dark ages.. come on guys.....
We have been asked to produce single figure packs of our dark age ranges by a good number of customers. I'm sure that a certain dark age rule set is behind this! As a reponse we will be making our Romano British, Saxon, Viking and Norman infantry packs avilable as single figures very shortly. This ...

Re: A few bits and pieces.
finally decided to accept that history has been re-written and mounted my saxon warlord on a cavalry base.

Very pleased with it. The basis for the conversions was the Romano-Brit cavalry and the horse archers.

Re: early dark ages.. more thoughts
Hmmm I haven't given up yet, I'm merely licking my wounds    My wounds have now healed considerably. :D :D :D My blog is getting a fair bit of attention now particularly from other guys gaming in 10/12 and as a result I am coming to realise that none of the major manufacturers produc...
