Re: Flyers and shooting in HHF

Hi Ratty, This is an interesting issue for which there is currently no clear ruling. Because of the low trajectory of the various weapons I have always believed that it is right and fair to allow shooters to fire under friendly flyers. My conversations with longbow enthusiasts also back this view - ...

Re: Orcs v High Elves

Ratty, I thoroughly enjoyed reading your battle report - detailed and illustrated with photos which meant that every phase of this humdinger of a battle could easily be followed. The spirit and feel of the H&H system was present throughout and fun and entertainment was very obvious. Wizards! I h...

Re: creating 2 new hex boards

Hi Norm, Just been looking through the re-modelling of some of the standard hexon terrain pieces on your excellent blog, and as a fellow modeller I am really impressed - lots of little masterpieces! There has obviously been a lot of careful planning as well as applied modelling skills and techniques...

Re: More early WW1?

Hi Al, That's not an easy question to answer. I'm currently working on master moulds for early war command for 4 nations and production moulds for more late war codes plus the first tank models, plus additional terrain features. The Austrians and Russians are on the to do list, but I can't give you ...

Re: H&H Fantasy rules

Hi Kevin, The Fantasy version of the H&H rules will be updated to keep them in tune with the latest version of the H&H medieval rules. However, I must stress that all the game mechanisms remain unchanged and there are no major changes only 'fine tuning' in response to feedback from players. ...

Re: Quick Reference Generator

Hi, The quick reference generator provides an easy way of creating the play sheets required to play a game of Hordes & Heroes - just choose the names of the opposing armies and print off the play sheets. Because the composition of any particular army will vary according to points value and perso...

Re: Army Percentage

The percentages for minimum and maximum refer to the total number of units including command units. For example, an army of 20 units including 4 command units, which can have a maximum of 20% heavy cavalry can have up to 4 units of this troop type.

Re: Greetings and salutations!

Hi, welcome to the forum. I left the hobby for about 8 years a couple of decades ago but through intensive gaming therapy I feel that I can honestly say that I have fully recovered from that unpleasant experience!

Re: Hordes and Heroes Fantasy Undead

Hi Ratty, Although undead do not flee - they have no fear, I guess, being already dead, but they will recoil through combat. They can become disrupted if forced to recoil the normal displacement rules apply. They are subject to the zone of control rules and therefore undead units forced to recoil ar...

Re: More early WW1?

Hi Rob, We are currently working on a number 'mini' packs to cover the less common but equally important unit types. We already have German Jager machine gun teams as master castings, a number of which I have painted up - they were in use on the table at the Loughborough club on Sunday. These will b...
