Re: WW1 Belgian Cavalry

Sounds good! In August 1914 the Belgian army had three regiments of Chasseurs à cheval and five of Lancers, as well as two regiments of Guides. Unlike the British, French, and Germans, their cavalry does not seem to have universally adopted the lance, with only their Lancer regiments being so armed ...

Paul

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate that you are wanting to release the 1915+ uniformed range, but please don't forget the 1914-15 range. I would appreciate it if a 4.5 inch howitzer could be released for the British so they can be even with the Bosch. ;)

WW1 British QF 4.5" Howitzer

Hi

It's good that the Germans have a 105mm Howitzer (WW1-GE14); are you intending to have a model of the British QF 4.5" Howitzer?

This being the British equivalent of the one you have modelled for the Germans, I think it's the 10.5 cm FH (Feldhaubitze) 98/09?

Fantastic range. :D

WW1 Belgian Cavalry

Hi

Will you be casting Belgian cavalry for your excellent WW1 range?

Either Chasseurs à cheval or Lancers?

Note the Belgian Lancers soon stopped wearing the czapska and wore the bonnet de police instead, something to do with being mistaken for Bosch Uhlans?

Re: WW1 French - 1914 Uniform

Hi As I'm sure you're aware cloth varied in colour due to the nature of the dyes used, as well as wartime restrictions. From what I have 'seen' of "horizon blue" it varies from the 'classic' light blue through to a grey blue. So it will depend on the individuals taste? Foundry does a Sky F...

Re: WW1 - Raging Empires - Battalion Sizes?

Paul Thanks for your reply. I understand that deciding on strengths for things like this is not an easy one, and I just wondered if you were trying to 'show' something in the rules by having larger 'German' battalions. I think my question came about because 18 was not, in base terms, divisible by fo...

WW1 - Raging Empires - Battalion Sizes?

Hi This question is about your 'suggested' Unit compositions. A British Infantry Battalion of the BEF in 1914 was made up of four companies, each divided into four platoons, and at full strength was 1,007 men. The suggested strength of a BEF Infantry Battalion is 16 bases - equating to one base repr...
