Hand to Hand Combat - clarification needed please

Hello We had our first test game last night using the rules (See the Wargamorium Blog https://thewargamorium.wordpress.com/ ) and I am still a little confused by the hand to hand combat sequence In the Impact phase Side A (Mounted Knights) charged and forced the enemy to flee. Side A was obliged to ...

Re: Tabletop terrain

Hello Cameronian

I don't play either of those systems but my opponent with H&H is a DBA player so I am sure he will be able to advise me.

First game of H&H tomorrow night - should be fun.

Thanks for all your help.

Re: Tabletop terrain

Thank you both for your responses.

I can of course make up my own system but I just wondered if there was already a system in place which could be referred to to avoid disputes.

Thank you both for all your help.

Re: Translate Artillery Shooting Factors

Looking at 100 years war army lists it says: 1 - 3 hex = 4+ (H); 9+ (2H). 4 hex = 6+(H); 12+(2H) which I took to mean a die score of 4+ means 1 hit and a score of 9+ means 2 hits whereas - at 4 hex range 6+ = 1 hit and 12 means 2 hits. This means guns are more effective at short range. This is my in...

Tabletop terrain

Hello

Can you tell me please if there is a formula for choosing the tabletop terrain. Page 8 of the H&H Medieval rules points me to a dedicated support section on the website but I can find no reference there.

A simple and elegant mechanism would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Hordes & Heroes medieval hex facing questions

Hi Paul

Thank you for that clarification which I will study and incorporate into my downloaded copy of the rules.

You mentioned above that you are planning to update the rules and I am looking forward to that.

Re: Hordes & Heroes medieval hex facing questions

Hello I am very interested in this question as well. I have never played with hexes before and am painting some HYW for my first game using these rules. My query is: I understand the 4 cases listed by Canis above but there does not seem to be any mention of the position if I rotate a unit more then ...
