Re: Buidings for 12mm WW1 range
I recon the creation of a Great War/WW1 section on the forum is a very sound idea - we'll look at that. We have some WW1 buildings at the CAD stage but this will advanced no further until we can guarantee the necessary production time on the laser cutter which is based at another company. We have ju...

Re: Ancients?
We had a discussion about the idea of H&H Ancients at the club (Forest Outlaws), on Tuesday night. Tony brought along part of his Greek army and we explored ways of moving a phalanx using hexes. A seed has been sewn and I recon it could work really well. We are starting to look at Ancient army l...

Re: Barbarians
Very nice paint job Kev! Puts my Barbarian army to shame. I particularly like the range of subtle colours used on the shields - mine are all the same dark blue colour, which seemed OK at the time but perhaps now require more variation - a small repainting task for this autumn I think!

Re: Rail station
Great model - the idea of incorporating railways into my WWI games would create a lot of interesting game scenarios. Fixing the track onto single hexes would provide for a variety of different layouts and configurations using the same pieces.

Re: Ancients?
Hi Chris, The H&H system has been used by many gamers to fight ancient battles. Although it was never originally intended to cover ancients a good number of people have experimented by creating the combat factors and points values for various ancient armies and pitching them against each other u...

Re: Warband - Early Medieval / Dark Ages large skirmish rule
This looks really interesting! We have a lot of Memoir 44 games at our club - easy to get 2 games in an evening and swap sides! This Warband system sounds like it has some similarities in terms of game mechanics and well worth a try.

Re: ACW hex rules queries
Hi tede, Sorry about the delayed response – it’s been a case of to much to do and not enough time to do it in the last few days. I’ll ask Sally to e-mail you a later copy of the play sheets which might clarify a few points a little better. The rule set is still undergoing development and refinement,...

Re: Raging Empires rules questions
Hi Tede, The ZOC rule was developed to enable differentiation between the close contact tactics or 'infiltration' employed by storm troopers and 'light infantry' and other units operating in a more 'conventional' way. 1. A base can move from one enemy ZOC directly to an adjacent enemy ZOC if the ene...

Re: siege tower assembly
Hi Gabz, The chevrons are marks to indicate how the pieces should be placed in the mould for efficient casting - they are not a related to construction of the tower. For quick and efficient assembly make sure the two large side pieces are the same way up with the smallest distance to the first of th...
