Re: ACW or other Horse and Musket rules?

Hi,

Our group is currently working on AWI, ACW and Napoleonic hex based rules for use with hexon terrain. We aim to make them available when we've sorted out all the details - much play testing has already been done - I will keep folks informed as we progress!

Re: YouTube video - WW1

Hi, The buildings are mostly N scale or 15mm which fit in really well with the12mm WW1. They have been collected mostly from bring and buy stalls at various shows over the past 10 years or so. I have 're-modelled' a lot of them to create the wrecked buildings that you see in the video. They were ver...

Re: Infantry flee/ pursuit movement query

All troop types must follow up after combat- is this also true for better A or B class infantry? In a recent game I played with Saxons fighting a Romano British army, I formed an impenetrable (or so I thought!) shieldwall of advancing mighty Huscarls (A class troops). However, in one round only 1 u...

Re: just a silly question :-)

Hi We were trying to think up a name for the company while driving through the Derbyshire countryside, in the direction of Sudbury Hall, using road signs to help stimulate ideas! We wanted a generic name because we are involved in other activities other than the design and manufacture of wargame pro...

Re: War Wagons

Hi, The two 'wooden' strips are attached to the underside of the warwagon, behind the wheels. Turn the wagon body upside down and glue them into position with a small amount of superglue. Their function was to protect the underside of the wagon against enemy infantry crawling underneath and into the...

Gabz wrote: I was just wondering , are the chariots allowed to ignore ZOC of the Orcs just because the Orcs are in terrain that the chariots cannot enter ?
Correct! In effect the Orcs have chosen to stay away from the edge of the wood and in doing so relinquished their control over that hex.

Re: Question about woodland

However my understanding is that cavalry has to be considered as if disrupted also attacking from outside woodland, because the rules says "Mounted troops fight as if disrupted when attacking or occupying a woodland hex". In this case they would fight as disrupted + they would loose their impact bo...

Re: Question about woodland

I would like to request clarification about hand-to-hand combat in woodlands: the rulebook says "No impact bonus for attackers or defenders in hand-to-hand combat" (page 8). Is this applicable only to troops inside woodlands? For example, when one infantry which is outside a woodland is attacking a...
