H&H Medieval queries

Hello We played a game using Mongols versus Poles and the following issues arose: Skirmisher screen : according to the rules skirmisher stands cannot be targeted. Does this mean they are ignored ? Can artillery (field guns) or any missile troops shoot through enemy skirmishers and target enemy troop...

Re: Hand to Hand Combat - clarification needed please

Thank you Paul - that clarifies matters very well. Side A's impact takes place in the next combat phase in B's move. We were unclear about that. You may have answered my next query which is as follows:- Side B is lined up hex to hex in a line. Side A attacks hex to hex in a line. In one unit to unit...

Hand to Hand Combat - clarification needed please

Hello We had our first test game last night using the rules (See the Wargamorium Blog https://thewargamorium.wordpress.com/ ) and I am still a little confused by the hand to hand combat sequence In the Impact phase Side A (Mounted Knights) charged and forced the enemy to flee. Re: Tabletop terrain

Hello Cameronian

I don't play either of those systems but my opponent with H&H is a DBA player so I am sure he will be able to advise me.

First game of H&H tomorrow night - should be fun.

Thanks for all your help.

Re: Tabletop terrain

Thank you both for your responses.

I can of course make up my own system but I just wondered if there was already a system in place which could be referred to to avoid disputes.

Thank you both for all your help.

Re: Translate Artillery Shooting Factors

Looking at 100 years war army lists it says: 1 - 3 hex = 4+ (H); 9+ (2H). 4 hex = 6+(H); 12+(2H) which I took to mean a die score of 4+ means 1 hit and a score of 9+ means 2 hits whereas - at 4 hex range 6+ = 1 hit and 12 means 2 hits. This means guns are more effective at short range. This is my in...

Tabletop terrain

Hello

Can you tell me please if there is a formula for choosing the tabletop terrain. Page 8 of the H&H Medieval rules points me to a dedicated support section on the website but I can find no reference there.

A simple and elegant mechanism would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Robert
