Re: Double round tower gate entrance

Hi Graham, I set out a scenario with the double hex tower/gateway as you described. The idea seamed OK, however the number of inside hexes which could defend the the double hex is increased from 2 to 3, which in many ways increases the defenders position if they can concentrate enough available defe...

Re: Round bases for Hordes and Heroes Command

Hi,
I did use black round slotter bases at one stage but switched to 2p coins for greater wieight and rigidity. The 2p coins are also better for slopes and hills - the flat base allows the use of the anti-slip base backing better than the plastic or lazer cut mdf round bases.

Re: Battle of Agincourt

Hi, With the anniversary of the battle next year there should be renewed interest in the media. It's a fascinating medieval encounter in that there will always be speculation over how exactlythis vastly outnumbered English army achieved victory. I've re-fought the battle with miniatures a number of ...

Re: Double round tower gate entrance

Hi Graham, Sorry about the delayed reply - I started to experiment with the two round towers on adjacent hexes and it is possible to fit a gateway between them with some careful modelling, however the siege and assault rules would require a gateway hex for units of troops to pass through. I'm not su...

Re: Russians

Hi,
We will be focusing on early and late WWI before looking at designing miniatures covering other theaters of this epic conflict. The first releases in the late war range will be available in a few days.

Re: First Battle of Ypres

Hi, Just been looking at the photos in your game report - very impressive set up! A huge amount of work must have gone into this game and I think the elevated information stands above the table seemed to work very well indeed. They were high enough above the table as to not distract from the terrain...

Hi,
The large container is in fact a very large 'Soup Tureen' which was a regarded by the Janissaries to have the same status as that of a of standard, plus it could contain enough communal food to feed a large body of men! 8-)

Re: White Kallistra for battles in the snow

Hi, This looks interesting! We've had quite a number of requests for moulded white hexon boards over the years - singles as well as full boards, but we have so far resisted the temptation to have a production run of white. A increased interest in 'winter war' might further increase the pressure for ...

Re: ACW rules question

I would suggest that it should - we used this in our test games and it worked pretty well. My view is that units of troops should always try to exercise control over the ground around them!
