Update of my ACW rules

Two Flags - One Nation (hex based) rules have had ammendments, the design notes that cover them are available on the blog.

Re: waterloo / napoleonic hex rule adaptations

They will probably be a work in progress for many years :-)

QB seems like a great test bed battle for rule designing and play testing,

Enjoy your game on that magnificent table.

Re: C and C WW1

Very nice. I have played C&C in other periods but not WWI. Of interest is that the WWI game has a deeper board than the usual C&C standard 9 hexes deep (13 I think?) and this probably spells problems for some people playing with Kallistra tiles on their kitchen tables without using boarding to incre...

Re: Flodden 1513

Interesting replay. I am not a fan of showing any missile troops as being capable in close combat. Trained archers were an expensive resource and ill-suited to melee type situations. I am left with the impression that following contact, the archers formed themselves into small 'knots' and did was is...

That looks really fab - is that fence low enough for the tiles to still stack? _ great idea.

Re: Hammerhead 2018 Show report

Well done on the attendance figures, Hammerhead is certainly well regarded and respected and that only happens with hard work by those involved.

Re: HHM - War of the Roses Yorkist v Tudor

Enjoyed, thanks. Another pair of armies that I want! After of course the 1066 stuff gets painted. :D

I like the the way the battle developed into a critical turn, with the intervention of commanders needed to restore the situation - good narrative coming from the rules.

ACW - Regimental attack across a ford

This scenario was actually inspired from a 2 hex situation in a boardgame. I tok that action and moved it onto ` 12 x 9 hex grid.

ACW 12mm on open table

Got to playing out a small snippet of action from my Clash of Giants - ACW boardgame (GMT) by transferring a couple of hexes worth of action across to the figures table and using Kallistra ACW figures with Black Powder rules.
