Sample terrain features

Below are some examples of terrain features made using combinations of Hexon Boards, Single Hexes and Single Slope Hexes.

Similar terrain features can also be made using A2, B2 and C2 Slope Hexes. ( Feature would be 2 Hexon board Height).


The slope hexes can be identified by;

A1 - has 1 low edge, 2 triangulated sides and 3 full sides.

B1 - has 2 low edges, 2 triangulated sides and 2 full sides.

C1 - has 3 low edges, 2 triangulated sides and 1 full sides.

18 Hex hill - 1 hex board height


The feature below uses: 1 x Hexon Board plus 1 x A1, 4 x B1 and 7 x C1





12 Hex hill - 1 hex board height



The 12 Hex hill uses:
2 Single hexes, plus 2 x A1, and 8 x C1




59 Hex hill - 1 hex board height




The 59 hex hill uses:
4 x Hexon Boards plus 7 Single hexes, 8 x A1, 6 x B1 and 14 x C1





By placing the 12 hex hill on top of the 59 hex hill produces a large 2 layer hill.

36 Hex hill - 1 hex board height




This 36 Hex hill uses:
3 Hexon boards, plus 4 x A1, 5 x B1 and 9 x C1

This 55 Hex feature uses:
2 Hexon boards, 3 x Single Hexes plus 11 x A1, 15 x B1 and 14 x C1
